Who are Ubuntu Markets and Ubuntu Villages built to serve?

We are Black-founded and rooted in Black cultural experience, but our products and partnerships are open to families, educators, communities, and organizations of every background.

How do Legacy Table, Kindred, and Ilé Ubuntu work together?

Legacy Table preserves family recipes and stories. Kindred helps families plan reunions and stay connected around them. Ilé Ubuntu supports community-centered learning. Each product can be used independently.

Where can I use the products?

All three products are available on iOS and Android, and Ilé Ubuntu also supports the web. Use the App Store and Google Play buttons in each product card for the current download page.

What is the difference between Ubuntu Markets and Ubuntu Villages?

Ubuntu Markets LLC leads commercial product innovation and client work. Ubuntu Villages is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on community programs. They share founders, Ubuntu values, and a commitment to serving the village.

Can my school, nonprofit, community, or business work with you?

Yes. We welcome product pilots, community partnerships, mission-aligned client work, and conversations with organizations exploring technology built around real human needs. Tell us what you are building.

Ubuntu Markets (LLC) and Ubuntu Villages (501c3) are Black-founded and Black-led organizations co-founded in Oakland, CA by Hodari Touré, Chief Innovation Officer at the Hidden Genius Project, and Shylah Hamilton-Touré, Founding Executive Director of the Jambalaya Center for Ancient Mysteries and Sacred Arts. Together they form one ecosystem — innovation and tradition under one roof.
